In the summer, people enjoy hikes in some of Colorado's Fourteeners, or fishing in some of the clearest freshwater in North America, or camping with the family, or mountain biking with the pros. Also, enjoy the weekend long celebration of our city called "Boom Days," and for the athlete, we are proud to host the annual Trail 100 races which is done on bike and then on foot.

In the winter, ski at the renowned Summit County ski resorts, or snowmobile some of the best terrain in the nation. There are ice fishing competitions at Twin Lakes and Leadville's ski joring competition, which is a hoot for everyone.

Ski at the famous Summit County ski resorts Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin and also Vail and Beaver Creek. Enjoy skiing at these mountain resorts without having to pay an arm and a leg for your hotel. If quiet is what you want, come ski at ski cooper right in Lake County; it has terrain to please everyone, but no fancy restaurants, or packed runs.
